AADSAS removed my coursework >:(

Hey guys,

So on my school transcript, I had 3 credits of English from my IB English class and 6 credits of Biology from my IB Biology classes (to account for Intro to Biology I and II). But AADSAS removed them from my coursework. Even though they showed up on my official school transcript, it won't show up on the coursework list the dental schools will see.

1. Do they not take IB credits? If not, why is it even a freaking option on the AADSAS?

2. I have 14 credits of higher level biology courses I took in undergrad. The dental schools do not need X amounts of credits for bio courses to come from Intro to bio, right? (I did take intro to bio labs in undergrad too)

Call AADSAS. This is weird, but we can't fix it. My AP courses stayed in my coursework.

I can't speak for IB Bio, but IB English should stay. You should contact AADSAS.

I am in the same situation. AADSAS just changed my 9 credits (6 from IB Bio and 3 from IB English) to say 9 credits of non-science test credits. Is it worth calling AADSAS? Again, these courses will still be on my transcript, and the intro level bio courses are prerequisites for upper level courses, so dental schools will know I've taken them.

At least they kept it on there. They just took mine out completely 😡 I didn't think the dental schools receive your transcript, and I guess intro to bio is a pre-req everywhere for higher level courses???

Welllll ....

My college is just weird. On my unofficial transcript, I have my test credits written out (BIO 101 3 credits, BIO 102 3 credits, etc.) Apparently, on my official transcript, it's written as "Test Credits 6 credits" - as in all my credits have been clumped into one giant thing.

AADSAS did give me the right number of credits, but since the official transcript didn't specify what courses these credits are from, it's just shown as "Advanced Placement (total #) credits"

Well that's stupid. But I hope admins are smart enough to realize that those credits must involve BIO 101/102 since I couldn't have taken all my higher level biology courses without them.
