Why the hell does aadsas have to average out the scores for classes one has repeated? Really? Some of the dental schools advice applicants to retakes pre-reqs that they failed or did not pass, gaining a grade of B or higher; but if aadsas uses the prior score to average the GPA it hurts one's chances of improving one's score. Do dental schools accept aadsas GPA calculations or do they recalculate the gpa themselves?

I don't believe that they recalculate the gpa but I think the adcoms realize how screwy GPAs can be hence the other parts of the application. I'm not sure if this is right, but I think aadsas takes in account all the grades in order to make things fair. For example, person A takes orgo II once and gets an A while person B takes it twice, getting first an F then an A. It wouldn't be fair for them to both get credit for an A when one has taken it more than once.
