AADSAS statement from BU

Hello guys,
This is what I got today from AADSAS status:

Thank you for Applying to Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Your application has been received and it is currently being reviewed by the committee. At this stage we are determining if your application is eligible for interview. Generally, interviewed candidates have an overall cumulative GPA both total and science of a 3.2 or above and their DAT academic average and total science is at 19 or above. This is a general guide; many other factors come into our consideration of a candidate: community service, experience in dentistry, motivation toward dentistry, letters of recommendation, applicant essay, credit hours/course load and competitiveness of undergraduate institution, etc. Your application may remain in this status throughout the entire cycle as we continually review it against the total applicant pool. We will contact you as soon as any further decision has been made regarding your application. We have a lengthy review process and ask for your patience during this time.

I guess this basically means that I am rejected.....
I dont think they will look at my application again
unless there are no applicants to offer interview
sigh..

I believe this is what is posted for all applications they receive, and it just means that you are under review. I had that as my status, before I got my interview, so there is still hope! good luck

I didn't get that message. In fact, I haven't heard anything from them. So, perhaps I'm out of luck. I have a 3.85 science GPA but low DAT scores. I think your in good shape if you've heard from them. It means at least you're being considered.

My application was complete in like Mid-september.
Plus I dont have a good stats as you do.
So I guess you should wait a little bit more.
According to other posts, as the application cycle gets near end,
admission process gets more competitive and
guys like you with high stats will get in.

Would you mind telling me where on the AADSAS website this information is listed. I submitted my application back in september and have not heard anything from them. My cGPA is 3.27, sGPA 3.19, and DAT 19/19/21 so but my status is blank under BU. Thanks!

This was found at the application status section where you can see
received/under review or like invited for interview and so on..

I dont think getting this messege matters so much because
i just read a post that a student got an interview invite with black status.


Plus I have about the same stats as you do and DAT scores are exactly the same!

Haha same with me, I have no idea why only some people's AADSAS status is updated and others have never been touched. Leaves me wondering what I did to offend these people?

After hearing nothing from BU last year until July for a rejection, this year after AADSAS was totally blank, all of the sudden gave me an interview...😱

I have a high GPA but my DAT scores are lower than yours (except 25 on PAT). I think dental schools put a lot of weight on DAT scores over GPA.
