Hey guys if i submit my application in totality on May 17 is there any advantage to this as opposed to submitting on June 1. Isn't june 1 the first official mailing?

thanks!

(still trying to polish my essay 🙁)

It takes 10 business days after the date of receipt of your request to mail to the dental schools.

May
AADSAS launches 2005 AADSAS-on-the-Web Application - May 17
AADSAS launches AADSAS InfoSource ? May 17
AADSAS Correction Form/Extra Request Form ? May 17
June
First AADSAS Mailing to the Dental Schools

This is all the info i have.

This is what they told me over the phone: May 17th is the first day to submit, and June 1st is the first day of what they call processing (whatever that means). They estimate that it takes four weeks to process. It makes sense that they would do it in order of submission, so if you get it in sooner it'll probably get out sooner. Probably won't make a huge difference to dental schools, but hey, every little bit helps.

TO OP - although it is better to submit the application at the earliest time possible, DO NOT sacrifice the quality of your applicant essay for early submission. The essay is very important part of the application as it give the admission committees the first impression of you as a person. If you need another week from the earliest submission date (May 17) or so to complete a 'perfect essay', then use that time. Ask someone to proofread it as well and ask for his/her feedback.

It took me 1 1/2 months to complete my essay with 7 revision, and 2 completely different versions of the essay in order to create an essay that I was satisfied with. 😀
