AADSAS survey

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I gave them a piece of my mind... No one deserves waiting months to find out what the hell is happening to your letters, transcripts, and application.

Wow, so much to say and so little time.

Did anyone else feel like the AADSAS website looked like it was designed by a high school student? The first time I logged on I kept thinking...is this really the website for ALL dental students???? this just looks so cheesy.

I also mentioned that they should take a look at the financial aid online application for some tips. The FAFSA isn't perfect, but I liked that each question had a FAQ link directly to that question. The aadsas information was 12 pages and you had to keep clicking NEXT > next > next .... to get the info you wanted.

I thought they should have a link to the money you have paid and how much left you owe them.

Also, list of schools that were submitted. It isn't listed on the website so you have to call AADSAS directly if you need to verify which schools they are sending your app to.

I also thought they could have made their contact information easier to find.

Lots of other suggestions, what did the rest of you guys comment on?

I gave them a piece of my mind as well. I was afriad they were going to say I had too much written in the box for comments. I closed my rant with your description msf41, "AADSAS= rip off" 🙄

Yes, I just received and completed that as well... I don't think they'll have too many positive responses...

I was very happy to see that survey in my email! It was about time I had a chance to actually let them know what I thought of their service. First of all, when I saw the question on the "usefulness of Infosource" I was LMAO. Are they kidding? It would be useful if the thing actually updated!!!!

Even though I personally didn't have any problems with them losing my transcripts, letters, etc. I know that they have done that with several other applicants and also made a lot of mistakes. Dental schools could care less who made the mistake, and regardless, this delays the students application by several weeks to a few months which can really impact whether or not the student gets an invite or acceptance for that matter. I think its totally unfair and they shouldn't have this problem. They should be organized and check their work and confirm with the students somehow to make sure everything is correct. So for those of you had problems and delays because of AADSAS, I included that in my comments because I think that can be really frustrating.

Also, I wrote that they should hire more staff besides the 4-5 that I practically know by name. There seems to only be 4-5 people that work there compared to the ~8,000 applications they receive. Its absolutely ridiculous that it takes 6-8 WEEKS for an application to get processed! They have to think of a more efficient and quicker way.

That's just my 2 cents.

I really gave AADSAS a piece of mind regarding my 3 month delay of my letters of rec...I definitely let them have it and I did give them pretty bad reviews/comments/ratings.

I HATE AADSAS.

Yeah, jumped on the negative responses bandwagon. I loved the questions about phone/email support - yeah, they would be helpful if anyone bothered to answer the email or pick up the phone!!!! I think I must have spent hours listening to that really annoying recording 😡 ... I do not like AADSAS.

Question is, will they get a single positive response ....

I feel the real question is, Will they do anything about it? I'm sure every year its the same old thing, and I'm not sure if they did the survey in the past, but I really don't think much will change. Sorry to say that for all you 2006 applicants. :meanie:
