I was wondering does aadsas make copies of our transcripts and send those to the dental schools as well? Or do we have to wait on some schools to ask to send our officials in? Don't some schools ask to send our officials if they are considering us for an interview? 😕

AADSAS will use your transcripts to verify the courses you put down on your application and calculates your GPA. AADSAS used to forward a copy of your transcripts, but it no longer does that.

So some schools are OK with the courses you entered in the application and the AADSAS verfied GPA. Other schools, such as UCLA, UCSF, Tufts, etc. require the original official transcripts to be sent to them as well.

Furthermore, some schools like UCLA, UCSF, Harvard also require High School transcripts.

Good luck.

ok so can we go ahead and send our official transcripts to all the schools we apply to or wait till or if they ask us to send them.

how are they going to verify the courses I put on on the application because the courses I put down are planned/in progress courses that are not on my transcript. Also, are they going to list what classes we have taken so far so the schools will know or they're just going to list the GPA?

they are not going to verify the planned courses, since there is no grade for those. basically, AADSAS will look at the classes you listed on the application and compare the grades you put down to those in the offical transcript.

when they mail your application to the dental school, they send the whole list of courses you took, just as they appear on the AADSAS web application. They also send the GPA according to their calculations, it will have your science gpa, overall gp, post bacc or grad school gpa (if applicable).

now, some schools are ok with the AADASAS calculations, other schools want the original transcripts sent to them as well.

i suggest calling the schools to see when to send in a transcript, that is if they require it.

good luck.

When is the best time to send original transcript to individual schools? Should I wait after they request it from me or as soon as I submit my application ? 😕

oh no! i submitted my aadsas application without putting in my the courses that i have taken because i thought they're going to send out the transcript. All i put is the courses that are in progress and planned courses. How do I fix this?
