Hey guys,

I am only few days from taking my MCAT. I took two practice exams recently, AAMC 3 and 4, and scored 31 and 34, respectively. How indicative are those scores? Do you recommend specific exams to take before test day?

Thank you

Not very indicative. They're the oldest ones.

Definitely do 7-11 but wait on them until the last month of prep. #5 would be good to do when you're 50-75% of your way through content review. Finish with 10 (not 11...do 11 at the end but not as your last one).

AAMC 3 and 4 are a joke you should try doing 8, 9, 10 and 11

I'm assuming you're a 5/26 tester? You should probably only take 2 more before test day so you don't burn yourself out. Take 11 tomorrow or Saturday, and simulate testing conditions as much as you can. Review that test and study your weaknesses for Sunday and Monday. Take 10 on Monday or Tuesday, again simulating test conditions. Review until test day.

Good luck! :luck: I take it tomorrow 😱

Yes I am taking it on May 26. So should I expect lower scores when I take AAMC 10 and 11? If these two recent exams are harder, how does curving come into consideration when calculating scores?

Thanks

I thought they were more difficult [than 3-7], but I ended up scoring my average. I managed to make some really careless mistakes, though. I attribute this to burnout (testing Sat.). So, make sure you don't burnout because the newer ones have some questions that are easy to screw up.

The scale is pretty much similar to the last ones, but I've read somewhere that the newer ones [8-11] seem to have a higher percentage of more difficult questions.
