Took this one just now and got a 33. 10-12-11.

This is the first FL I've done and I plan on doing AAMC 3-11 before my MCAT on April 5.

I felt pretty good on this one, though my (lack of) understanding of harmonics really brought down my PS score.

I've read that AAMC 3R is the simplest one, and is actually a lot simpler than the real thing. Anyone confirm or deny?

I think it depends. I've seen people start off with a 25 on the AAMC 3 and then gradually increase. I've seen people decrease too. In any case, 33 is a great score. AND you still have about 4 weeks, so I wouldn't stress 😀

it's def way easier, ive only really taken 3, 4, and 5 and they dont compare to the real test i took a year ago. But a 33 is good though either way. To me 5 was the simplest i took out of the 3, but this will prob vary form person to person.

im saving the later ones for early april

I wouldn't necessarily say it's the easiest. It depends on your strengths and weaknesses, and I wouldn't discount the fact that it was your first FL (I had an 11 pt differential between my first FL and my final score). Personally I found the later AAMC's to be easier, and as I went up from 3 towards 11 my scores improved.

Wow nice to see. How much of your rising scores would you attribute to you gaining knowedge/insight about the test as opposed to them being 'easier'?

I scored the lowest on AAMC3, though it was definitely the easiest of the them. I just got killed because it was my first one and it was the first time I had done an entire verbal section at once.

Hard to put a number on it, but the importance of getting comfortable in the real testing environment is hard to overstate. Taking practice passages is great, but, at least for TBR, it's not the same because basically all of the questions for a given passage are on the same subject, whereas the real thing will involve a number of concepts for each passage as a whole. I think getting comfortable figuring out what's going on and bringing in the appropriate concepts is something that can only be learned through practice and, at least for me, I didn't really get until I did a couple FL's.

Everyone says that AAMC 3 is the easiest (and maybe it is) but it is also the first one that people take after they are done with their course review. I for one scored a 34 on AAMC 3 (12-12-10) but a 37 on the real deal. I think you will see a rise in scores over the next few weeks rather than a decrease.

Same here, scored a 32 on #3, which ended being being by far by lowest aamc score. Ended up getting a 37 on the real deal.

I think it is about average. There are a few more difficult (5R and 7R, although I haven't taken them all yet) but in general I think it is about average in terms of difficulty.

34 on AAMC 3 (11, 10, 13). 33 on the real deal. Both were done within 4 days of each other. I don't think AAMC 3 is necessarily easier.

I don't think it really matters if it is the "easiest" FL practice test. I think overall, the FL practice exams give you a good picture of how you will do on the actual exam. People argue about the difficulty of each exam relative to each other, but there are many factors that go into how you score on each one. I personally found the grading scales on each exam to be proportionate to the difficulty (for the most part). I think the actual exam was more on the difficult side, but it seems the scale was generous.

The upshot is, 33 is a good place to be on your first practice exam regardless if test 3 is the easiest. Just monitor your progress as you go along. Likely, score will increase or at least stay the same as you make your way through the FL practice exams.

The 7R verbal was absolutely brutal. Bio wasn't a piece of cake either, but I did get my highest PS score yet on 7R.
