Hi everyone,

I've been told that the AAMC 6 has the exact same questions as the AAMC 6R with the difference being in the chronological order of the sections. Is this true? I have a copy of the AAMC 6 and was wondering if the questions are up to date with current exam materials. Thanks!

I have a copy of both, and the differences are more than just the question order. In the revised test:
1) There are fewer verbal questions, and some of them have been changed ever so slightly.
2) There is a different focus on the BS section. There are fewer organic questions and more genetics/molecular bio questions.
3) PS is almost exactly the same. If there are changes they are grammatical or very subtle because I don't recall seeing anything different.
All in all, tests 6 & 6R are pretty much the same, though. If test 6 was free then use it. It will not help you any less or more than 6R. In fact, because there are more verbal questions, it will be harder than the more recent tests. I don't know if this is good or bad. It just is.
I think tests 7 & 8 are the best ones and you should try to find those, too.
