Hi guys,

Due to popular demand, I have compiled the SDN statistics on AAMC FL 1 scores vs. MCAT scores. These should be taken with the same caution as with previous scores, in that people took these exams at various stages of their studying and so their scores may not reflect their ability when they actually took the MCAT. With that in mind, the n = 100 in this case, so pretty large, and the r^2 was 0.55.

For your reference, here are the other two I have made so far:

Reporting bias exists as well, but thanks for the information.

Yes indeed - I have discussed this elsewhere. Reporting bias is likely the most significant one in this case and we should keep it in the back of our minds. However, since there is very little data on the new MCAT and most test prep companies made their FLs with very little informed input, this very little bit of information will serve as a rough guide for comparison. It is not meant to be predictive but rather to serve as the first such source for students to guide their studying.
