Has anyone purchased the AAMC MCAT practice test's?

in retrospect, I would buy all 8 exams (or maybe it's buy 7, as I think one is available at no cost) + a series of exam review books, I had luck with EK, others have recommended princeton review I believe, others may be good as well.
With the other option being to pay $1,600 for the Kaplan course. I'd go with the $35*7 + $180 for books approach.
It's very helpful as it allows you to practice timing and stamina repeatedly, after some time, the test material itself becomes easier, what's tough is going fast, and totally accurately, after you've been testing for 4+ hours. In my experience one can't really double check work given available time.

The AAMC practice tests help a lot. It would be nice if they had a flat fee that would give you access to all the tests (did they have this at one point?), but it's still not that bad compared to other more expensive options.
In the end, you're going to be shelling out cash for primary applications, secondary applications, MCAT test fees, then come interviews and its associated costs, hopefully acceptance deposits, tuition, student fees, living expanses, lab fees, .... a few bucks for some practice exams isn't bad at all; and they are really very important.
Either way, you will need some form of test practice. Test practice >>> content review. Whether it be with Kaplan, AAMC, TPR, whomever, you're going to have to buy practice tests of some sort. Personally, I found the AAMC ones to be extremely helpful and worth every cent.
Long story short, buy them. They're great. At least get the recent ones. If not the AAMC, at least get something.

If you don't pay, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. You should pay for ALL exams at $35 a piece.

Kaplan includes all 8 AAMC exams with their class. Same exact ones.

Well, sort of. Less in the sense that if you're taking Kaplan you don't have to go out and buy the AAMC tests, as they are included. But you are still paying for them really with whatever it is that Kaplan charges you for the package.
You could just as easily buy the AAMC tests and some content review books and save yourself a large sum of money. If you really wanted the Kaplan practice tests I think they sell them separate too (?) and you'd still save a lot.

I did find one book that has practice tests, but only 2.

Hmm, I guess you do have to enroll in their classes to take them. You'd think that would be a good product for them to sell. Then again, maybe less people would enroll in a full fledged class as a result if they did.

Definitely. But I guess they want to sell at least their full fledged online course for good money. If they sell their "bread and butter" of their practice material, then there wouldn't be as much incentive to take the course.
Kaplan's big book also has 2 practice test (1 in the book and 1 online). I'm pretty sure the one in the book is the same as one they give you with the class, but I think that book of 2 practice tests are different than the ones they give you in the class.
