Proposed cuts to Medicaid and the Grad PLUS loan program threaten both patients and the future health care workforce.
Many students, especially those from underrepresented and economically diverse backgrounds, depend on Grad PLUS loans to pursue medical education. Without it, the path to becoming a physician becomes even more difficult.
We stand with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) in urging Congress: Not to cut essential programs that make medical school accessible and patient care possible.
Take action now to protect Grad PLUS and Medicaid.
