Hello, I'm working on my application and personal statement right now.
I came across a small question. I know it's grammatically incorrect to abbreviate names for the first time it appears such as writing "UCSD" instead of the whole "University of California, San Diego" in a normal english writing.
Because of the 4500 character limits on PS and 175 characters limits on description of ECs, I am having hard time fighting against the character limits.
It would take too much space to spell out the whole "University of California, San Diego (UCSD)."
Did you guys abbreviate any names on your applications?
I know it's a silly questions... Please help!!!! English is my third language I learned... I'm having hard time.
