In a patient undergoing PTCA, how long do you put them on gpIIb/IIIa inhibitors? Duration of the procedure? 1week post? 3 months? I have no clue. Thanks.

I think you only give it by IV on the day of the procedure.

Yeah, they shouldnt be on these on the floor, is our policy. Once they are out of the cath lab or the unit, they usually come off the drip within a few hours.

Thanks. Not having uptodate can be frustruating at times, specially when taking step III in a couple of days. 😉
