Drusso - you still have the Mayo manual from your EMG rotation? Read that and you'll be fine (assuming we're shooting for a pass, not honors). Katirji's book is good for review as well, and a quick read. For practice questions, I used the SAEs from Archives. Also, don't neglect reviewing things like filters, SSEPs, MEPs, intraop monitoring, and quantitative sensory testing.

Also recommend listening to CD-roms for waveform recognition. Suggest (if you can) listening at different gains and sweep speeds, because the standard settings you use may not be the same as the examiners'.

Just kidding Russo...Katirji is a gold mine of info. Preston/Shapiro still a solid source, and the old AANEM monograph's..

Katirji's book is good for review as well, and a quick read.

I looked this up on Amazon.

I'm assuming this is "Electromyography in Clinical Practice" and not "Neuromuscular Disorders"?

Correct - EMG in Clinical Practice.

I own the paperback 1st edition. I heard the 2nd edition is good but I can't personally vouch for it.

To anyone who has completed the AANEM boards: how similar were the SAE questions to the actual test questions?
