If you had to pick one of the two, which psych course would you take?

Are there any schools that specifically require one of the two?

I don't think abnormal psych would qualify under AMCAS sGPA? In case that affects your decision

I don’t think any school explicitly requires psychology.

Of the two I’d go with abnormal psych. Idk just seems more interesting studying disorders rather than how babies learn to suck their thumbs.

Life span Psych. No joke, 95% of the class material was on the MCAT and decently relevant to medicine.

I second Life Span Psych. If you haven’t taken Psych 100 then take that instead, but between your two choices Life Span.

Any way to take both courses? I took abnormal in college and it helped me a lot on the MCAT - I found the developmental psychology questions of the MCAT easier to study for with a review book. Abnormal might be more interesting since you are learning about disorders and treatment methods, its like a soft intro to psychiatry 🙂
