I have to retake my biochem, can someone help or advise me what study materials should I used, and what technique did you use to remember all the things in biochem. Are there any helpful website for tutorial in biochem. And do I have to wait for 90 days to retake even if only one subject, I am planning to have it computerized, and I'm planning to do it as soon as possible. Please advise me, thanks in advance. 😕

Hi myra1972,
The study materials I'm using are Kaplan notes.
Techniques to remember is just understand it and memorize,no other way! I'm not sure about any tutorial websites,if anyone knows, plz let me also know!
I think u have to wait 90 days to retake the exam.

yes save a smile, is rigth , you have to try to understand and memorize all. Read Kaplan book, make notes, and memorize the decks.

HI MRYA1972,
I would suggest u to read biochem from lippincott to make your concepts clear. In addition to reading from kaplan book and dental dex try to catch hold of first aid for usmle and revise biohem from that .
hope that helps

Thanks to you Guys 🙂 I 've starting to review again some of the things I think that is very hard to understand. So I guess that I have the chance to take it by early of April, hope if you have some important points to remember that would help me, kindly let me know, thanks again!!!

Thanks a lot for your advise. Do you know a textbook about BIOCHEMISTRY by Paul Jay Friedman, "A little, brown review book", would it help. I really want to passed the bicohem by april, would it be a little bit earlier to start to memorize now, because I'm planning to take it in April, I'm afraid that by that time I already forgot all of it.

hi myra1972,
never think that u are early to study anything. As much as u study, the better u be.So start now itself,ok!

Hi

I think Lippincott`s illustrated reviews are most prudent one & Pretest Biochem reviews are prtty good with explainaion at the end .If you want to study metabolism Then Ingrem`s assembly line concept, in his book introduction to microbiology, is very comprehensive.
The understanding of study material is very essential but there are some things for cramming too.

Thanks a lot to all of you, friends, I am now looking for Lippincott's and planned to read as much as I can, thanks a lot. 🙂
