Hi,
I am wondering whether anyone has attended the biomedical program at PCOM. I have been accepted to both the post bac program in PCOM (MS in biomedical Sci) and Drexel(MSP), and if anyone knows some information about these two school could you please let me know. Thank you.

I am not attending that program at PCOM but I have heard many wonderful things about it.

You might want to search the threads for this, I have answered a bunch of questions in a few of them. If you have anything specific feel free to fire away.

Ultimate DO,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have a few other questions that cannot be found on your threads. I am accepted for the 2 yrs degree program but I am wondering if I can apply to their DO degree after the completion of the first year. The second question is whether you remebered the list of textbook that were used for the class. If you still have the class notes, please let know me know as well. Thank you very much.

There is absolutely no problem with applying for the DO program after you first year. The first year basically parallels the first year of classes in the DO program and the second year is pure research if you stay in the biomed track. As long as you are completely open with the faculty and staff about the fact that you are applying to DO programs they will work with you. I will have to get back to you about the textbooks they are all at home but the situation is the same as with the first year med students. The books are recommedations only to supplement your classroom learning, you can go out on your own with books that better serve your needs. Since I was working full time while doing the biomed program and wasn't able to spend my days in anatomy lab, I got a Rohen for Anatomy to supplement my lab time. I also used my girlfriend's biochem and histo books from college for those classes even though they were different from the ones most people were using. I still have most of my class notes from biomed in addition to my girlfriend's notes from the DO program (she graduated three weeks ago).
