what do we know about cNMR

all we have to know is how many different signals will there be for a particular compound?

or do we have to know what fuctional group goes where ???

It would probably be a good idea to know that the closer the Carbon is to a highly electronegative atom (like O), the further downfield it will be.

how can we differentiate each peak to others??

On the cNMR graphe, the furthest peak to the left is the carbon next to the electronegative atom.

yeah, it says s d t q right next to the peak.

how can i interpret them?
