about differences between schools

Hello, I have a question about GPA differences between schools. Is there any advantage of going to a more "known" college as undergrad than less "unknown" college at all? Because I am a Yale undergrad, but I go back to my home in Dearborn, Michigan and take summer classes at U of M Dearborn and I have took about 30 credits in U of M and got all As and my GPA in Yale is only 3.5. This shows the difference in difficulty between even 4 year colleges. I know if I do good on DAT, it doesn't matter anyways, but in case I don't do that good, is there any advantage going to more "known" college rather?
