Hi,

I thought to post about me, my grades and other activities so that I can find similar person here and we can talk our weak and strong points.

I am a Jr with Bio major.
Very bad GPA. Oveall 3.3 BCPM 3.2.
I made 1 C-, 1 C, 2 C+, 2 B-, 2 B, 2B+, 8A- and 9A.

I am doing some research work. Some Volunteer work and no shadows till now.

I knwo my profile is a bit discouraging but I am hanging on and plan to take Prinston Review this summer. Will take MCAt in July-August time frame.

I am not sure if there is similar thread. Even if it is there it may be old.

What were the "C"s in? If you were slacking as a freshman in English class then that's one thing, but if you're showing that you are a consistent "C" performer in classes like orgo, analytical chem, genetics, and anatomy then you've got some serious work to do.

It's hard to say much more without knowing your MCAT score. Many lower-ranked MD programs and DO programs will have lower GPA and MCAT averages, but they will place more emphasis on volunteer work and interesting extracurriculars, so you'd better have something more compelling than "some research work" and some Volunteer work".
