about recommendation letterst? application updates...

Hello, I am applying to US dental schools in June.

I have three recommendation letters but they are not excellent in that
the profs only comments on my academic skills and grades with general terms and
does not really expand much on other things...no wonder because I didn't do any research courses...

My GPA is 3.48 /4.00 and my DAT scores hasn't come out yet..but let's assume around 20~21. How important are recommendation letters?

Also, I will have all the documents sent as early as possible in June, but if I update it
with a better recommendation letter in July or August, will it be looked at?

I feel so depressed and worried...T_T.................please, any helpful comment would be appreciated....and any tips to how to get a good recommendation letters w/o taking research courses?

Stop stressing over something that you can't do anything about...your GPA is ok, Dat is pretty good. Assuming you have strong extracurriculars so you should be fine.

GPA and Dat are the most important things IMO. just apply early and you should get some interviews.

Besides, with such a short time left until applications open again, what could you possibly do to significantly change your professors opinion about you?

What do you mean your DAT scores aren't out yet? Did you take the test yet or not? If you did you should have gotten your scores right after you were done in he testing center. Sounds weird!

I am thinking about taking a summer research course, in which case, I would have a better recommendation letter by late July, August....which leads to my second question...if I do submit a new LOR in Aug, would they look at it ?

I took Canadian DAT in Feb..but I am also taking American DAT in April since I hear that they prefer American DAT score much more.
