so i just graduated college, B.A. in biology and currently doing research (research assistant) without pay for a BME lab on campus. i have already submitted all my application and paper work and just waiting for interviews. since i didn't get in last cycle, i have a year "off" school. my gpa is a 3.67 and science 3.5. i already have prior dentist shadowing experience. my question is, do you guys think researching for a whole year is beneficial rather than getting a job else where or doing some other alternative? thanks in advance.
