About the DAT grading

Hello
I heard many diff ways to grade the DAT score.
Some says that I am just competing ppl who is taking the test with me at the same time and at the same test center.(I heard this from my Kaplan teacher...)
And others say that it is just overal w everyone who ever took it before and use percentile.
Can anyone explain to me how they grade the DAT?

Your specific test is grades against those who have taken your version of the test. Not ppl taking the test the same time as you.
You score is given with a percentile, showing your range compared to everyone else who have taken it.. BUT I believe dental schools don't see ur percentiles, just the score.
