Because...? I hope this is for a science fair project:

You could just take a course diamond bur and prep it like doing a full gold crown but just take it all the way in to you see/feel dentin.

Assuming you dont have a bur and highspeed handpiece, since you would have figured this problem out already, soak it in coke, it does wonders on tooth enamel.

Yes. You could probably use a dremel with a little muscle, though you won't get the same precision with your cuts.
