I sent everything in mid-October, but I haven't taken the PCAT yet. I heard they choose the top 240 applicants for interviews based on GPA and PCAT scores.

I applied last year and they told me the average GPA from the previous year (2005-2006) applicants was a 3.565 and the average PCAT score was around a 65%. The nice thing about that school is that they have grade forgiveness if you've retaken any classes. I hope this helps.

it seems like there's fewer applicants this time around. is it because they've changed their application deadline to an earlier date this year? hopefully that'll increase our chances right? i may be wrong on this.

I applied to UMKC last year, so I'm not familiar with the changes (if any) to their application process for this cycle. I do know that I was not contacted to interview until late February - it seems like their interviews were basically all in March. It also seemed like they truly waited until their application deadline (which was in mid-January) had passed before they started reviewing applications (but I don't know this for certain).

Yes, it is a 5-year program and the satellite campus is located in Columbia, MO.

Good luck to all!

those who applied last year, did you get an interview or rejected after your interview or waitlisted? did you all attend the party i heard about for those being interviewed?

how do you think your interview went?

I received an interview at UMKC two cycles ago, and I don't know if it's the same now, but my interview was on April 1st; I got my invite in mid-march. So I wouldn't be holding your breath...

I saw that... However they moved their application deadline up one month. Someone should call and ask about interviews 🙂

If it helps, I got rejected about mid-March. I think their deadline last year was Jan. 15th.

i think interviews start around march again this year, but for people who have interviewed before, what type of stats did you have
thanks

I'm doing my pre-req's at umkc and the advisor said they send invites out early march. I spoke to her in December so I'm not sure if that is current or not...

thanks for the info...i was questioning on how long we have to wait until we hear something from them...

Sorry about the last post. I meant to say that the interviews are in march/ april so you should get the invites in mid feb.

I was talking to some current pharm students and they got them around that time frame. sorry about the wrong info.

Hey, I am currently a 2nd year umkc pharmacy student enrolled in the Columbia satellite program. We just got an e-mail today to see if any of us were interested in being on interview comittees for this year's acceptance interviews. It said that interviews were scheduled for March 15th and the 29th.
