So I just got done doing a TBR passage titled Enzymes, Coenzymes, and Vitamins. I had problem with question 11 (page 134). I didn't know that, for example, if blue is absorbed, we perceive yellow since it is the "complementary" color to blue. Are we supposed to know the complementary colors? The passage didn't give that information. Maybe it's just TBR being tough, but anyways I just wanted to know.

Cheers.

Another easy way to remember complementary colors is that there are two colors between complementary colors in the acronym ROY G BIV. Red's complementary color is green, orange is blue, and yellow is indigo/violet.

Thank you. I'm not going to forget that now. Cheers.

According to the color wheel, it shows orange is opposite of blue, not yellow. What am I missing here?

You assume color wheel is wrong. ImageUploadedBySDN Mobile1372542683.392016.jpg

Eh, the color wheel still does its job. Each of those colors should be more of a gradient. It probably winds up being more like this:

Hm. I'm going to study this but not waste too much time. I feel like this is something that would be given on an information passage if it popped up
