Here is a question:
An unknown compound absorbs yellow light.
What color does a compound appear?
Yellow, Red, Green, Blue, Violet
The answer is Blue.
I know the absorption spectrum of visible light: ROYGBIV.
The problem is how do you figure out which color appears?
