Has anyone seen this section of the AAPMR site?
I am starting my PGY-2 (PMR) in July and am trying to prepare as best possible, since from what I understand I will not have much time for reading in the particular program I am starting.

Anyway, If you click the above link, there are these PMR topics on pdf that are $15 each (free for members).

Are these worth reading?

If not, does anyone have a reading list they could scan and upload or recommendations that will prepare me well for the wards.

They're decent but not a substitute for books or journal review articles. As an attending they have more value to me as quick easy free CME to help me keep my MOC. I don' think they're as valuable for residents in this regard.

no time to read? got time to listen?

drop pdf, word, or html (i.e. journal articles, text from online ebooks, etc. into this site)
http://www.spokentext.net
let it works it's magic into your favorite audio format
listen at your leisure (commute, working out, cooking, etc.)

you can find the Cuccurullo board review text online
I can still access DeLisa through my med school's ebooks (perhaps you can do the same)
PM&R purple journal's first 2 issues are open to everyone online

i'm interested in any other advice for reading prior to starting

Thanks for sharing the link Jay. I think it will be useful even though my commute to work is only 10 minutes

Here is the link to Cuccurullo

Here is a link with some excellent pdf's

Excellent collection of videos. You can download all of them as podcasts on itunes.

I am attaching the "Essential Articles in PM&R Training 1980-2003". I guess it is a little out dated but still an excellent list. Hey Jay as we go along our training we can start to update the list. I think we can also start to acquire all the listed articles in PDF format and upload them like Dr. Akuthota has. What do you think?
