Academic Update period

When exactly is the academic update period for AADSAS?
Is it during November?
Also, do I need to resend the transcript with the transcript form that I used before?
I need to update couple courses that I took over the summer..

Also, I saw that usual academic update period is between mid-November through February according to the AADSAS website. In that case, do I need to wait till my fall grade comes out to update or can I send summer grade first and send another transcript later on when my fall grade comes in?

And is the academic update optional? (Or is it necessary to do?)

Academic Update opens late November; if you have Fall grades you're expecting, AADSAS requires you wait for your fall grades to come out before sending them updated transcripts. As far as I know, the update is required if you put "Planned Courses" within your application.

Thanks! I searched the SDN forum and couple comments were mentioning that the update isn't necessary so I was confused.
