Academic Update Required?

I would like to know as well. Do we need to update AADSAS even if we have already been accepted and have sent all of our final transcripts to the school?

Sent all my transcripts to accepted school. I'm in no mood to spend more money to send it to AADSAS. I don't think it matters now. My acceptance letter says it needs direct transcripts from your previous institution, so I don't think AADSAS matters anymore.

You can always call to double check =)

I am more interested in knowing if you haven't been accepted yet, if schools require your updated transcripts to see how you did and to ensure you are still attending school.

I am following this strategy

Same question; I haven't been accepted yet and I talked with a receptionist at an admissions office on sending my Academic Update and she responded
'thanks for participating in the update' which makes it seem unnecessary then???

lol im also interested in this question

i got bad grades last sem, and would rather not update lol

is it required?

Some schools, especially if you have low gpa will wait for that academic update even if they do not tell you that they are waiting for it.

IT is imp. to AU if you are not accepted to the school that you want. If you are accepted and the schools requires you to send transcript directly to them, then you have nothing to worry about.

I don't think the update is required, but it is a quick and easy way for the school to get the final gpa's of accepted and enrolling students and what not. They will still see your grades regardless, because you must submit your final transcripts to the school before enrollment. I am not 100% sure about this, but I think it makes sense. Call the schools and ask if you are really wondering.
