Hi everyone,
I had a question. I know that academic update is not mandatory, but I was wondering whether it would be wise to carry on an academic update if it would lower your gpa by a bit.

Before update: 3.6 something
After update: 3.4 something

Puzzled one :scared:

i take it u read harry potter? to answer ur question, if the schools you applied to want an updated record of the classes you are taking and updated grades, you might as well do the AU since they will see your grades in the transcript anyways. if you don't have to send them, then the choice is ur's...

Must have been one heck of a bad semester to drop you 2 tenths of a point. My senior year I had a 2.6 in the fall and a 2.8 in the spring.......dropped me by almost 2 tenths (3.4 to a 3.25). But you managed to do it in one semester. Schools have conditional acceptances....if your semester was <2.5 then you might be in trouble. My advice is if they don't ask then you don't tell. Kick butt in the classes that you are enrolled in now and don't look back.

At this point, you might not want to submit those updates since the schools who are still reviewing your application might deny you based on your new scores. It might be better to wait until after you decide which school you will be attending, and submit your final transcripts to them (AFTER they already said you are in). 🙂

the way AADSAS handles things, it's gonna be a while before everything gets updated and sent to schools. why bother? it's not required. The only reason I would do it immediately would be if the updated grade would raise your GPA significantly or you have prerequisites that will be filled with the updated courses. Otherwise, wait till the schools ask for your transcript to send your updated info in

depends on the classes you took- if they are sci or other prereqs than send in that update. If not wait until they ask or call the schools and find out how interested they would be in the 'electives'
