How soon after an interview can you expect to receive an offer?

IF you receive an offer, anytime from December 1st to the first day of class as long as you are not rejected.

most schools offer acceptance and then require a deposit be submitted during a certain time frame to secure the accepted spot. Each school has differing requirements.

i think most schools state on your acceptance letter how long you have. i think you have like 45 days if accepted b/w dec 1st and jan, then the response time goes down from there (30 days, 15 days, etc.). i thought i read that somewhere on ADEA, i could be wrong.

If you interview pre-Dec, and don't get an acceptance in Dec, do schools send you a rejection letter or do they just put you on a waitlist to be reviewed again?

I've never heard of that. Believe me, they have enough qualified applicants that they can just move right on down the list....

most dental school have rolling admissions. So if they have enough qualified applicants, they can actually fill their class on Dec 1st. By the time Feb/March comes around most schools have 5-10 spots left and hundreds of applicants competing for them.
