Hey guys, I was wondering what you all think my chances are of being accepted to at least one of these schools post interview. I applied fairly early and my GPA is cumulative, 3.5 science 3.6. True undergrad gpa is 3.73 but college classes I took in HS pulled me down. MCAT of 498 with 128 bio and 125 chem. I've received interviews at

ARCOM
KYCOM
WVCOM
WCUCOM
BCOM
LMUDCOM

I was wait listed at arcom post interview. Assuming I'm an average interviewe, do you think I'll get at least one acceptance? Hoping I didn't get 6 interviews just because I applied early and they had the space to give me one.

I don't know about specifics, but getting this many interviews is usually a good sign of at least 1 acceptance unless you mess up the interviews. What are your other MCAT subscores? I think if you were to not get an acceptance, it would likely be from too low of an MCAT

Not too hot. 122 cars and 123 psych. I was thoroughly surprised I received as many as I did so far, but applying i was definately hoping make GPA would help make up for it and the fact that my “good” sections were the science based ones. Thanks

That is probably best case scenario considering your composite is 498. I was just curious if they were unbalanced (like 125 psych and 120 CARS) because then you would be in the range that schools may think one subsection is too low.

Thanks for the info. Definitely those subsections that can hold me down. I’m just hoping they didn’t just bring me in for an interview when they already know they’re going to either reject or waitlist me regardless of how well I do.

It's not necessarily that they know they will deny/waitlist you, just the decision to give an II may be based on only a couple of people in the adcom whereas the whole adcom votes for acceptances. So, you may get II's because one/two people overlooked your score, but the whole adcom might think that your score is too low.

I think you have a good chance of at least getting one acceptance out of that list. Prepare for the interviews, be yourself, and keep moving forward. If you have questions about LMU-DCOM ever just message me as well!

Thanks for the advice. LMU was my second interview. Probably going to find out about that one tomorrow. Loved the school

Getting accepted is 100% on you.

Your MCAT score puts you at a disadvantage. You're not the first SDNer I've seen with a <500 MCAT score who got waitlisted at one of the AR schools. I suspect that they were hoping that you'd shine in interviews.

I can't recommend WCU

I see, thank you.
