Hey all, so I am confused, because I have heard conflicting things from different people. When is the earliest date that schools can start offering acceptances? How about post-interview rejections?

Depends on the type of school. MD schools start regular decision acceptances tomorrow, 10/15. All early decision acceptances should have all been sent out by 10/1. DO schools are already and have been sending out acceptances to all selected applicants. Rejections are fair game at any point during the cycle.

Whenever they want. There is an AAMC guideline that says 10/15 for RD As, but schools are not bound by that, and at least a few have already released at least some As.

There are no guidelines regarding Rs, Hs, or WLs, either pre or post II, and they have been going out all over the place for many weeks now, at least pre-II. As a common practice, however, schools don't usually release any post-II decisions until they begin to release As.

All bets are off beginning tomorrow, except at non-rolling schools that will not release anything until whatever date they determine.
