Acceptance notification: Business days, or calendar days?

Does the countdown for schools to notify you go by business days, or calendar days?

Your time to reply goes by the date of their letter,not by date of receipt, right?

If they have two weeks to notify you, and you are notified in one, can you use the week they didn't use? (wishful thinking, I'm sure)
