hi guys im just going to be straight forward and i can use honest answers please. I go to UDM and im a sophomore. My dads good friend is a profesor at the UDM dental school and the professor is very close with the dean. he told him about me wanting to go into dental school. would this be a very good connection for me. will i be able to get in IF my grades arent as good as i want them to be. my main question is will he be a big help to my acceptance. He also will be writing my LOR and ive been shadowing him for over 100 hrs. thank you for your time guy!🙂

You're only a sophomore. Do well on the remainder of your coursework, continue to shadow, pick up volunteering/research, and rock your DAT. At that point you won't need help from anybody to get into a dental school and it will be even more rewarding.

im doing my best. i didnt do too well freshman year. and my father is a dentist and he told me to apply this summer because the profesor can help and i might be able to get in quicker. i just wanted to get someones opinion if he can be help. Thank alot though

Not a 100% guarantee but more likely yes. Unless your grades are really bad and as long as you meet the school's requirements, you should be fine.
