Hey all,
Been lurking for awhile, but I'm a first time poster.
I'm currently in a graduate program that my in state school looks favorably on for giving out interviews/acceptances. They say that for the majority of people in the program, they wait until they see your fall semester grades before considering giving you an interview. Lucky me, I got invited for an interview coming up on Nov. 19.
Here's my question, do you think they would wait until seeing my fall grades (which won't come in until probably early january) to consider offering me an acceptance? (Or obviously the worse case of giving me a rejection or being waitlisted). I'm doing well in my classes, it would just take a load of pressure off of me for my finals and obviously I'm just as ready as everyone else for this waiting game to be over.
My thoughts are that if they thought I was a strong enough candidate to invite me for an interview before my grades came in, then I have a good shot at getting in on Dec. 3rd if they want me.
I know nobody can actually answer my question, but I kind of just wanted to hear some opinions other than my own. Thanks! 👍
