We've been talking about doing this, and so let's finally get the ball rolling. We can make a good thread with general statistics about ourselves for those who have already been accepted to PharmD. programs so that others applying in years to come will have an idea of what they need to do to achieve their goals. Here are some things I think we all should answer:

(1) Schools acceptance letters you've received.
(2) GPA
a) overall
b) math/science
c) pre-req. if calculated
(3) PCAT score
(4) work experience
(5) extra-curricular activities
(6) anything else that you feel helped you, such as interview, scholarships, research, etc.

I understand we all are right in the middle of this years admission cycle and there still are interviews and acceptances to come, so if you would, please come back and edit your original post when you receive additional information. Let's try to make this thread as dense with data as possible, and please try to limit discussions, there are plenty of other threads hanging around with the information you want. Let's try to keep this one as statistically heavy as we can.

Acetyl, this is an excellent idea!! I haven't received any acceptances yet. But, when I do, I'll definitely post all my stats and info!!

Here's my info:

Acceptance to: Auburn
Overall GPA: 3.976
PCAT: 75
Work experience: 7 years (Walgreens)
EC's: Pretty limited (Married with children)
Other things that may have helped: A little older (= a little wiser?), good interview (IMO), good LORs, applying as Early Decision...

Good thread - hope folks keep 'em coming!

5) Undergraduate research, martial arts, biochem club, etc.......
6) Interview was ok. Had some things in common with the primary interviewer. Also, had initiated contact with the adcoms several months before applying.

6) anything else that you feel helped you, such as interview, etc: just practice the questions in my head.. no rehearsing whatsoever., read up on the schools in terms of their programs, rotations, residencies, SDN forums helped a lot. and just go into the interview feeling like you have nothing to lose, that is when your personality will come out. my essay helped a lot, i was pretty succinct with my essay. no tears, or hardships (i had none), but just showed my interest through observation and personal experience not only in pharmacy but in my activities.

1. Accepted to: UOP, USC; Interviewing at UCSF
2. GPA a). overall 3.73 b). math/science 3.65
3. Didn't take PCAT
4. Have worked through all 4 years of college doing bio-med research. I think this was a plus, I got 2 very strong LOR's from my PI's and I think it definitely demonstrated my maturity and my curiosity for science. The publications didn't hurt the resume either.
5. EC's: Volunteer in-patient pharmacy
6. My 2 interviews so far went well, I was well prepared and just went in to show them my personality. I also spent a LOT of time on all of my essays, I know it's so painful sometimes to do them, but I really feel they made a difference in my admissions/interviews, especially in regards to the UCSF supplemental. And for those worried about taking classes at community college, I did all of the pre-reqs at my local cc before transfering to get my degree. So don't fret 🙂

Hi! I recently got an interview at Pacific and I was wondering if you had any suggestions since you've been accepted. My grades are about average overall GPA is about 3.2 and Science/Math is about 3.0, PCAT score was 78 composite. This is my top choice and I'm really nervous about the interview since it's my first. Any help or advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also congratulations on your other acceptances!

Then again, I know people who use their mother or father's friend (who is a pharmacist) to write a glowing LOR.
