Acceptance Timeline

Group-

Applicants that have multiple acceptances have until May 15th to declare a final one choice for school of attendance, right?

Can a school insist that an applicant decide earlier? Let's say there's some scholarship monies involved - is the school allowed to say "sign here, by Feb.1, agreeeing to the scholarship and to attendance to school X"?

Any reference links that support a given postion would also be of benefit.

Schools that start before August 1st require the commitment (or risk loosing your deposit) by April 15th.
