Acceptance to UTH GSBS???

I've applied to the UTH GSBS PhD program in immunology at M.D. Anderson the third week in March. Ithas almost been one month since I submitted my application but have not received notice is whether or not I've been accepted. I was tol the graduate admissions committee meets every two weeks so I am getting quite anxious about why I haven't heard from them yet. When my app wa completed, thy said I should hear from them in April. It's April 15th... Is it too soon to call or email them regarding my status. If not, would contact via phone or email be better?

Any info would help...
