Maybe possible, but I have not heard of this. All the schools that I looked at says that there will be an interview before accepting any candidate. But again, I could be wrong too.

never heard of that either

never heard of it either. I guess its possible but being a dr. is about so much more than what you appear as on paper. An interview shows that you are at least capable of faking social skills. There could be some 4.0/45 people walking around out there that would be terrible docs and have no semblance of communication skills.

OHHH UNDERGRADS

yes yes many undergrads
just no med schools
this is a med school forum
now u have your answer and u must shoo unless u wish to talk about medical school acceptances 🙁

* angry that you fooled her!*

i've never heard of anything like this either, but schools like washu operate quite close to this. if you have extreme numbers, i've heard that the interview is a pretty nominal part of the whole process at washu.

I've heard of admissions without an interview, but only very rarely. Basically you've got to have extreme stats (like 40+ on the MCAT).

So it can happen, but don't count on it.

If you're talking about undergrads, then none of the UCs conduct interviews.

If you're talking about medical schools, I haven't heard of such a case.

And constructor takes a swipe at wash u.

UIC used to do that about 5-6 yrs ago..since then they have made interviews a requirement
