Just got back from my Buffalo interview on Thursday and my Penn interview today and had a message on my machine that I got into Stony Brook. :hardy:

I really loved Penn and if get in I think I might have a hard time deciding. Save money and go to Stony or go to Penn.

The deposit is due fairly soon, would it be ok to pay and withdraw later?? I know its not cool to do it but I want to find out from Upenn and Maryland(interview on Feb 24) before I make a final decision.

oh yeah Im probably going to cancel my other interviews at NJ, BU and Temple, in case anyone wants to move up their dates.

Of course it is. The only thing is you will lose your deposit if you decide to go elsewhere. So if you do withdraw after paying, the school gets your deposit plus the tuition of someone else who takes your spot. I'm sure they wont mind.

Congrats.

Thanks

I guess Ill pay the deposit and decide later/

Don't sweat it too much. Wherever you choose to enroll, it'll be far from the last money you waste in dental school 😀

thank, aphistis
great insight.

I have deposits at 2 schools right now and may not go to either of them. My brother and I are both applying to dental schools right now and want to go to the same school if possible. However, because we haven't interviewed and been accepted at the same times, it forces me to place deposits to keep my spot until I find out if he was accepted.

I hate wasting money, but oh well! This determines where I will be for the next 4 years, so it's worth it.
