Does anyone know an exact date that the schools do their first round of acceptance? I'm especially interested in K-State.

I think K-State notifies within 2 weeks of your interview.

Penn - within 10 days of your interview

Cornell - late January

CSU - January/February

Illinois - Late February/March

K-State did not notify me until a little over 3 weeks after my interview, however they say 2-3 weeks.

I am an undergrad at Kansas State and currently applying to vet school. I have friends (in state) who were notified of both acceptances and rejections on Dec. 27th and 28th.

I had another question: I heard that acceptances from KSU come via certified mail and require a signature. Does anyone know if this is true? So, if it is true and you were at home for Christmas break when it came what would happen to it!? I know I'm jumping the gun but I think were all a little obsessive at this point. 😳

Last winter, a manilla K-State envelope arrived via regular US mail. Size 8.5"x11". Wasn't certified... I interviewed in mid-January and was notified about two or three weeks later - would've been sooner, but there were some delays due to weather and interview reschedules - so I had to wait a bit longer than normal.

So, I had my KSU interview today and I feel really good about it. I posted in the interview feedback section for anyone who's interested. Also, they did tell me to expect a letter in 2-3 weeks. Now it's time to wait...

It's great to hear that you had such a good experience! Last night I had a nightmare that I showed up to the Illinois interview (which I only knew because it was behavior based) and it was a group interview, with me and two other applicants and a bunch of reviewers and the other applicants were like "well, when we were in this situation we did x y and z" and then the interviewers turned to me and said, "well, what about you?" and I explained that I must have misunderstood, but I didn't realize we were asked a question in advance, but I didn't prepare for it and then they were like, "well, what sample question do you remember being asked in the email?" and I didn't remember that one either and so I made something else, but ended up crying halfway though...

Anyway, needless to say it was crazy and I obviously need something to do with my time now that classes are done... back to The Golden Compass!
