Hey! I'll give you a bit of information about myself. Definitely take a look at that thread posted above.

cGPA: 3.56
Pre-req GPA: 3.44
GRE: 152 - Q, 152 - V; 4.5
Observation hours: 80 hours outpatient (2 different clinics) and 20 hours pediatrics
Extracurricular: Delta Zeta - Theta Phi Chapter; Alpha Phi Omega; NSLS; club sports; Ronald McDonald House - Norfolk
Schools applied to: Drexel, Widener, Pitt, ODU, VCU, Duke, UNC - Chapel Hill, University of South Carolina, and MUSC
Acceptances: Widener (1/13)
Waitlists: Drexel (1/5)
Interviews: Drexel (12/9), Widener (1/12)
Rejections: UNC - Chapel Hill (12/7)

I suggest that you work hard to knock out the GRE's. You need to have above 150 on each section to reach the 300 mark. I do not have the best GPA, so I was unsure of how I would do getting into a school. Stay positive though! It worked out for me. I am still waiting to hear back from the other programs, but I have one school that definitely wants me. The waiting period is tough, but it's not unbearable.

Major: Animal Science
Overall GPA: 3.60
Pre-Req GPA: depends on school ~3.5
GRE: didn't take
extracurricular: TA in anatomy/physiology class, president of dressage team, secretary of dressage team, secretary of pre-pt club, owned a horse and spent (2-3 hours per day caring for him), assistant director for public health program in Ghana, competitive member of dressage team for 3 years, Girl Scout counselor.

Observation Hours: 45 Inpatient Acute Hospital, ~100 Sports Outpatient Clinic, ~70 Inpatient Sub-acute Rehabilitation Center

Applied: Clarkson University, Western University of Health Sciences, University of North Texas at Fort Worth

Acceptances: Clarkson University (10/18/16)

Rejections: University of North Texas at Fort Worth (01/02/17)

Interviews: Western University of Health Sciences (01/17/17)- will receive decision by 31.

Congrats on the acceptance! What did you think of the Widener interview? I have one coming up in Feb and wondering if you have any tips?

Thank you! The interview was extremely easy and laid-back. You get put into a group of about four students and two professors. I believe I interviewed with Sam and Jill. They basically go down the line and ask each student a question, and then anyone else can follow up and provide their own response as well. I honestly did not believe I provided the best responses to the questions, but I ended up hearing good news the day after my interview. The questions were typical interview questions, nothing I was not prepared for.
You'll also get to have a financial aid information and a short tour led by students.

Message me if you have any other questions!
