Looking for any and all info on UNE. I just got my acceptance today and they are looking for a deposit on the 15th of December. How does UNE compare with the other DO schools? I liked the school and the area but I am looking for specifics. How competitive are they?
I am still interviewing elsewhere and have applied to MD's as well but who knows if/when I will hear from them. Thanks.

Things that impressed me about UNE:

Longest anatomy program in the country, double the hours of some schools, in a high tech well ventilated room.

Environment of the area was tranquil and beautiful, seemed perfect for study.

Student body was very friendly and open to all questions; I really had a sense of community here.

I go to UNECOM and really like it here. I remember cursing the admissions folks for that nonrefundable 1500$ as I was still waiting on other schools too...I cant help you much with stats, but I can tell you that most of our programs are very strong (especially anatomy,OMM and anything taught by Dr Williard) and I think our board pass rate is 96% on first try. Facilities are great and the staff is very supportive (maybe too supportive for the reality of our future profession)...wish I could help you more help. Do remember that your education is what you make of it, so go where you will be happiest. Best of luck...remember its only $$$ my friend, you go the magic letter. 😉

UNE is one of the top schools. They rank very well on exams pass rate as well as US news.

The location is wonderful if you don't want to get distracted and they have a very good residency program. Their students' residency match is public and is very good.

If you go to the UNECOM class of 2009 on the osteopathic link you can review some of these. I beleive they where posted there, or do a search on SDN below.

Plus from what I am told.. good relationship between students/students and students/staff. OMM and ANAT labs are very well and not in a windowless/airless room. There are lots of trees if you need to escape from the science world. And there are 4 seasons. SOmething I like.

ALso CANADA is close heyyyyyyyyyyy..
