I recently got accepted and still need to complete 3 English credits. I still have a lot of other major requirements to take and do not want to take another class. Do you think the school will waive the prereq or be lenient with accepting another class? Thanks in advance for the responses.

Contact your dental school and ask. Do not assume anything.

If pre-reqs were optional then they wouldn't be called pre-requisite.
