I just got the phone call I've been waiting for. I've been accepted to Pacific for Fall 2007.

For those of you that are waiting, just hang in there! It's a long wait (I know), but it's worth it in the end!

Congratulations! I just got the phone call a few minutes ago. I will see you in the fall!

Hey guys-

I also got accepted today to Pacific. I'm also accepted to ICO, PCO, and NECO. I can't seem to decide where to go. PAcific is closer to home for me. What are your reasons for chosing Pacific? I heard everything at the interview day-- but still can't seem to get over the clinical aspects of Pacific.

Let me know what you think

I chose Pacific because it is close to home and the people there were great during the entire interview process, I just felt welcomed and at home there. As far as the clinical stuff goes, the variety of clinics that they have is encouraging and also the fact that Pacific is showing that they are committed to funding new buildings for their professional grad schools. As you know, they just built a brand new school for everything but Optometry and if you are going to enroll for Fall of 2007 the Optometry school will be moving there before we graduate. They also get brand new, state-of-the-art equipment for all of their clinics every five years and are supposedly getting new equipment in about 2 more years (right when we are really going to start using it 😀 ). I love Oregon, I've lived here all of my life and I was very impressed with Pacific in almost every way. So there is my recruiting pitch, come to Pacific! lol

Hehe. You sound like that doctor that talked about clinical stuff ( forgot his name). Have you interviewed at other schools to make comparisons? I am still not confident enough to decide. I think I will seek out graduates from various schools and talk to them. Thanks though. 🙂

I'm sure you will get an excellent education no matter what school you choose. I would choose the school you seemed to be the most comfortable at. It's going to be a tough four years, you definitely don't want the distraction of not enjoying where you live.
