To anyone who's waiting to hear from U Cincinnati - check the status check. Yesterday it said they were reviewing my file....

Congrats Monkeyrunner. I interviewed at Cincy the same day you did, but nothing has changed when I just checked my status. Ugh, I wish they would just tell me if I'm waitlisted/held instead of leaving that stupid under review message up all the time.

OK, to answer everyone's questions....

My interview was on 12/11. They told me to expect to wait 4-6 weeks for a result. So this is about 6 weeks.

As for UC being my first choice - I'm honestly not sure, although at the moment it is my only acceptance. However it is definitely in my top 5.

Oh, and westsidespartan, I hope you hear soon. And by the way, I happen to be from California.

Btw, I live basically in Cincy (about 5 miles from downtown), and I call it U. Cincinnati here at SDN...after living in Cali, then doing research at U. Chicago, I decided there were too many "UC's" in my life. 😉

Yesterday I told an old lady who lives in my condo building that I'd been accepted at the University of Kentucky, and she said "Where? UK?" <img src="graemlins/laughy.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughy]" /> I thought I was being more explicit and all I was doing was confusing her. <img src="graemlins/laughy.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughy]" />

Congratulations! Monkeyrunner, it is a great feeling to have an acceptance isn't it. Did you apply to UCD, or anyother California schools? So far I will be going to NY Medical. This is actually my favorite school I interviewed with, besides UCD. Interviewed with UCD but have not heard any news yet. But I have to say I loved NY Medical, it's my first choice and I know I will be very happy there. Best of luck!

Calimed - I applied to all the CA schools except Loma Linda. I got rejected from UCSF and Stanford, a secondary from UCD and am now waiting for an interview, a secondary from UCI that I have yet to send back, and no love at all from UCLA or UCSD. Oh, and a secondary from USC that I didn't complete.

Yeah, I did about at 4. But it doesn't matter for me since I found out that I was accepted last Friday.

I got the error message too, right after I found out. I went to go back and print the page and it wouldn't let me back in. Just give it about an hour. It'll resolve. Maybe this time of day is when they update people's status?
