Accepting Acceptance Offers

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
By April 30th, you will need to drop all but one of your acceptances (you can still hold waitlist spots). Typically you do not need to provide any confirmation that you will be attending; if you are still holding the acceptance after April 30, they will assume you are attending. If you are accepted off of a waitlist, you will have a couple of days to drop one of the acceptances.

Most require you to put down a deposit within a certain time frame (2 weeks give or take) if you want to hold the acceptance. By April 30, you must relinquish all but one. Most MD deposits are refundable. Schools will not know of your other acceptances until they've already made a decision on your app, and it should have no influence on your app at other schools. You can continue to interview after holding an acceptance.

I tried to edit my last post but for some reason it's not working, so just to clarify, when i said "you do not need to provide any confirmation that you will be attending", you obviously need to accept the offer right after you're accepted, but that's not binding. Other than that, you don't need to notify schools of your intention to attend.

To add to this.

1) You may hold on to as many acceptances as you want until April 30th
2) schools that you decline shall refund your deposit
3) You may remain on on WL lists past April 30
4) If you get acceptance from WL, you can drop your "1" acceptance with full refund
5) You can remain on WL for School B even if you get a WL offer from School A
6) Starting in February, the Multiple Acceptance List will let show only schools that have accepted you where else you have been accepted
7) Starting in April, the National Acceptance List will show all schools where you have been accepted.
8) At no time does any school know where else you have applied
Can AMCAS schools see which TMDSAS schools you were accepted to?
